Speaking to CNBC's Jim Goldman, Steve Jobs admitted that clearly Blu-ray has won the format war and trounced over its HD-DVD rival. But like Bill Gates and other executives, Jobs remarked that in the new world order of instant online movie rentals, no one will care about what format is where as technology can move so fast.

Also, don't underestimate the power of the new iTunes movie rental service either. I asked Jobs whether this meant the format war between Blu-ray and HD-DVD was over, with Apple the big winner. Clearly, he said, Blu-ray won, but in the new world order of instant online movie rentals, in HD, no one will care about what format is where. Funny how fast tech can move.
So what!!! Either Blu-ray or HD, it's not controlled by Apple ...... Steve believed IPod is the winner, doesn't mean he can forecast the trend. Especially, "online movie rentals" won't work and succeed in China or other Asia countries.

So what? 谁在乎"online movie rentals" work and succeed in China or other Asia countries? - 这些不是为中国和大部分亚洲市场推出的.
HDDVD比BD更容易盗版、更适合中国的盗版市场 - so what?
HDDVD比BD更容易盜版、更適合中國的盜版市場, and that's make HD more popular - So what? BD still won just because of marketing of North America, that's the truth. Ha! Ha!
I don't care who is the No.1... What I posted is just a news, nothing about 'Chinese Time', don't you get it? Chinese in North America?
