that's why some people consider 50% var 50% fix using rbc homeline plan mortgage.

*** however, most consumer's emotion is still driven by the media.
when the news paper says rate goes up, everybody comes to me for fix rates. when the newspaper says rates goes down, everybody comes to me for var rates. are you sure the trend will continue for 5yrs? please don't make a 5yr decision base on today's news.
