Kind of interesting quarter finals. The Cezhs are red hot. It would be a great game between Canada and Cezh (I suppose we'll cruise passing the Slovaks).
And the American are surging too and got a convincing win over the Russians, although it's not what i want to see...
I find the Lemiux line hasn't fired up yet, which made me a little worried.
Ah ! a subject close to my heart. All the teams are good. Even the Slovaks will not be a pushover.
Lemieux is a grand old man but getting too long in the tooth as we say. Most of the time he is just floating out there. No disrespect, but if Todd Bertuzzi were on that line they would really be scoring.
I hope Canada gets past the Slovaks and if so the Czech game could be the real final.
How many of you have gotten out on the ice to learn a bit of the national game. Maybe I can run an on ice session of The Linguist for the westca group some time. Full equipment but no body contact. Just joking, but you should get your kids into it. It is the best game there is. I still play Old Timers hockey, and both my sons, who are in their thirties, still play.
but sorry, i got a wrecked knee so can't afford skating, i even quit skiing. sad...
I totally agree with you about captain canada. With all the respect and i know he's trying his best (I very much enjoyed his drop-glove show against the Americans last time) and we don't want to see him hurt but i am hoping a lot more from him. Meantime his linemates are too courteous to him to be aggressive. I think Joe Sakic (my personal favorite) alone can give enough pressure to any foes.
I also expect to see Heatley to shine. This kid got the potential and i really hope he can get ink on another honor before he's going to face his real trouble.
About Tod, I have mixed feelings. I like him as an effective power forward. And i can't imagine how much damage will a Bertuzzi-Thorton-Primieu line do. But, his behavior, although totally understandable, still doesn't qualify him in this national team to represent the Maple Leaf.
Honestly I am a little worried about canada's young defence. I would have sit there laughing if we had pronger, blake in the lineup, oh well...
It could be the first real test to Quinn's squad tomorrow afternoon. let's wait and see.
If there is no NHL season this year, this will be the only treat we get. Let's hope everything gets to be solved so our winter won't be dull.
I think Canada will win the World Cup even though so many good players are not in the lineups.
Steve's idea is a very good one. I want to learn how to ice skate, I am more scared in iceskate than rollerblade.

what do you think?[/quote:e005e29863]
Hey, buddy
shame on me, I missed all the games of the Canadian's,
but I did see Finland,Germany and some games of the Swedish.
I cant believe Cezh beat Sweden by 6:1,
they are on fire!
Talking about the D line of team Canada,
did jova play?
you are totally missing out man. Jova was out since the first game. lower body injury. ans Redden is out too although a day to dat situation. the defence line is running really thin right now for canada.
Don't miss tommorw's quarter final. It's an elimination game and theoretically cold be the last game Canada plays. Cheer for them.
As the guy above said if there will be a lock out of the NHL season it'll be the last chance we enjoy hockey this yr. darn it.
It's a good idea to have a hockey team here but we may nt find enough players. me for one, couldn't play because of broken ACL. Bad
you guys watched the game tonight? GREAT game! The big line is unstoppable. The only pity is Lemieux didn't score although he set up some wonderful chances for ingy and sakic.
