[溫哥華失眠夜]

青島醫學院沈福彭教授，把一生無私地奉獻給了醫學事業。臨終又留下遺囑將自己的遺體捐獻出來，並叮囑學子，讓他們把自己的骨骼穿連成骨架標本，放置在教室門口，以便永遠為後代學子服務。沈教授說：“想以此實現自己‘鞠躬盡瘁，死而不已’的夙願。“
沈教授把 “鞠躬盡瘁，死而後已” 這句成語只改動一個字，立意頓時鮮活起來。

這種巧改成語俗語的文字游戲，有時具有非常強烈的修辭效果：

Beauty is only skin deep.
美色只是一層皮。
Beauty is only skin deep, and somebody peeled her.
美色只是一層皮，而有人扒了她的皮。
（皮之不存，美將焉附？）

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
情人眼裡出西施。
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The trouble is, so is the ugliness.
情人眼裡出西施。問題是，仇人眼裡出東施。
（愛人越看越順眼，仇人越看越礙眼。）

Pen is sharper than sword.
筆比劍利。
Pen is dirtier than sword.
筆比劍臓。
(文人相輕，寫文章影射毀謗造謠中傷，殺人不見血。)

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
早睡早起身體好，聰明錢不少。
Early to bed and early to rise till you make enough cash to do otherwise.
早睡早起等財到，發了財後睡懶覺。
（人窮志氣高，起早貪黑拼命賺錢。有了錢就可以高枕無憂了。）

Behind every successful man stands a woman.
成功的男人背後都有一個女人。
Behind every successful woman stands a basket of dirty laundry.
成功的女人背後都有一筐臓衣服。
（整天在職場搏殺，哪還有閒功夫回家做飯洗衣服？）
