(Sorry cannot type chinese here)
Thanks for everyone's vote and comments. It looks like majority of kids are playing piano for those who voted, while most of you who posted comments here are quite conservertive to piano, if not against it.
I talked to my husband last night. He was not shock of this result. What he concerns is piano is a long term commitment, which needs more energy amd time from both kids and parents, no matter money. There are other alternatives, which might be good chooce too, why we choose piano.
Also we are both working. Time with kids is really limit. Within the limited time, he thinks our high priority is to teach kids Chinese. And only if we have extra time, we can try others. Not sure how others can manage time. It turns out to us that we could only find 1.5 hours with kids after dinner, and that is normally the chinese time, or sometimes math testing. How can you find time with various acitvities!
Thanks a lot.

如果JUST FOR FUN, GO AHEAD。
如果想玩好,每天至少2个小时陪练。枯燥且烦躁。
钱是小事。
钢琴是银子,争吵,工夫,眼泪,牺牲搭出来的。
三思。

I never expect them to be any masters or whatever it called. I just hope they have some sense to music, and can play at least one instrument. That is my only purpose.
