試著回答一下哈
(1)如果公司是CCPC,stock option 在sale(或者持有24個月以後),做一下處理:
a. 確認employment benefit =(exercise price- grant price)* option shares;
b. 如果 grant price> option FMV @grant, 確認 stock option deduction credit =1/2(grant price-option price);
c. 確認captial gain/loss= sale price- exercise price
(2) if company is a public corp.
a. where options exercise, recognize employment benefit = (exercise price-grant price)* option shares;
b. if grant price > option FMV@grant, claim option deduction credit =1/2((grant price-option price);
c. where options sale, recognize capital gain/loss= sale price- exercise price;
d. can defer up to (shres=$100,000/grant price)'s capital gain
example: option price=8 grant price=6 exercise =10, sale = 12
For CCPC,
when grant, nothing happened;
when exercise, nothing happened;
when sale, employment benefit=10-6=4
stock option deduction=1/2(8-6)=1
capital gain=12-10=2
For public corp,
when grant, nothing happened;
when exercise, employment benefit=10-6=4
stock option deduction=1/2(8-6)=1
can defer up to $100,000;
when sale, capital gain=12-10=2
