the two things you described are: car power adapter and FM transmitter for "that" model of MP3 player. If "that" MP3 player is iPod, both items are usually available in futureshop or London Drug.
However, if you just want it quick, easy and cheaper solution, just get a cassette adapter. It will work for portable CD player, MP3 player and pretty much anything that have sound output.
The price for those the power adapter and FM transmitter are about 80-100 together. and a tape adapter is only 10-20 dollars, Your Choice!
