刚考下了五级驾照，因为某些原因，想租辆经济车在市内用几天，在budget网站看了报价，附加的PROTECTION选项有LDW（Loss Damage Waiver大概25元/天）和PAI(Personal Accident Insurance大概6元/天)，不太懂这些保险的具体意义,是否还是买好点呢？

一定要买LDW，PAI没所谓，只要不把贵重东西放在车里，别开太快就没事

ICBC的RoadSide Plus Package (一年70多加币），里面有rental vehicle coverage, 加上信用卡cover LDW（我用的是royal bank 的Visa Platinum Preferred没有年费），就可以高枕无忧了。。。你租车的时候什么保险也不用买。

ICBC的RoadSide Plus Package, the coverage includes:

Third-Party Legal Liability up to $2,000,000, for damage or injury you cause to others while you are driving the rental or courtesy car.
Accident Benefits - the same as you have under your Basic Autoplan insurance on your own vehicle.
Underinsured Motorist Protection (UMP) - the same as you have under your Basic Autoplan on your own vehicle. Details.
Collision coverage with a $300 deductible and Comprehensive coverage with a $300 deductible for the rental vehicle. Details.
Loss of Use Coverage of $25 per day to a total limit of $250, for replacement transportation if you can't drive the rental vehicle because of a crash.
Payment for claims made by the rental company for loss of rental income.

怎么我的Roadstar Plus是$24一年!
有了它,什么都有了,不需要信用卡的LDW保险.
如果没有Roadstar plus,注意信用卡只管LDW,只管车损.建议最好买PAI,管人员意外事故.

1, 不太可能租车费中含保险。我插
2，PAI是管车上驾驶员和所有乘客人身意外。一般信用卡附加的保险不含该项
3，有很多免费的金卡白金卡可选。你可以搜索“最好的无年费的信用卡”帖子看看

你的那个是Roadstar package吧？只有roadstar才能买，也有Rental Vehicle Coverage，如果你其它的都有full coverage的，这个package好像每年是$21。 我说的那个是Roadside plus package，除了有surcharge的人不能买以外，其他人都能买的。
