Reporting to the Manager, Applications Sustainment, Team Lead, Business Intelligence Developer is accountable for managing and fulfilling the overall reporting services to the various business departments. The Team Lead, Business Intelligence Developer is expected to work directly with Business Owner(s) to determine and fulfill their reporting / analytics’ needs; and is responsible for developing and maintaining SSRS reports and BI Dashboards using a combination of skills, technologies, best practices, etc. This role would also be required to manage a small team of report developers and to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with the various teams (Quality Assurance, Application Operations, DBAs) to ensure timely delivery of high quality reporting solutions to the business users.
Responsibilities:

Accountable for design, development, unit testing, integration testing and implementation, and ongoing support of various Reports and BI Dashboards, working in collaboration with Report Developers, Business Analysts, Business Stakeholders, SharePoint developers, etc. This includes being responsible to identify information needs and develop reporting designs in collaboration with business stakeholders, business analysts, management teams, etc.
Responsible for the design and maintenance of analysis cubes for a variety of audiences (Management, Finance & Accounting, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, etc.). Design of Analysis cubes would be a joint collaboration with BI Team Lead.
Responsible for enforcing BI Architecture standards, specifications, ALM practices and Change Control practices within Reporting team. This includes ensuring proper documentation and use of TFS system for backlog management.
Accountable for oversight on all aspects of analytics and business intelligence projects, ensuring BI Best Practices are consistently applied across the different projects.
Responsible to enforce security and privacy regulations.
Analyze the current business and IS environment from a data perspective to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Partner with various IS+T teams to deliver a stable and highly available reporting platform.
Hire, train and supervise Reporting team members, making sure team members understand their responsibilities and expectations on the service quality and timeliness of delivery.
Participates in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed I/S solution as needed.
Qualifications:
Computer Science or related degree.
5 to 7 years’ of related experience with ETL, BI Processes & Tools, Business Analytics and Optimization.
Must have advanced experience with the Microsoft Technical Stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) plus Cognos, Power BI or other BI technologies.
Must be highly organized with good time management skills.
Must be a good communicator with strong written and verbal communication including presentation skills to Executives.
Must have supervisory experience managing, motivating junior to intermediate level staff.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing multidimensional data warehouses including experience with OLAP cubes, big data principles, master data management.
Strong Business Acumen: a large part of the role will be working directly with the business to meet the organizations’ strategic goals.
