Dating from 1512, this unpublished handwritten manuscript describes the great voyages of the late 1400s, notably Christopher Columbus’s travels to ‘the new world’, to the West Indies, Haiti, Cuba and ‘the land of the cannibals’. Elsewhere, the book includes accounts of exploratory journeys to the coasts of Africa, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, Brazil and Sri Lanka.
