美国纽约市10月1日早上8时多发生一栋17层高住宅楼宇部份倒塌事件，现场图片可见大楼的一角「消失不见」，纽约市长亚当斯（Eric Adams）指官员正展开全面评估，呼吁民众避开有关地区。

官员称目前未接获有人受伤的报告。

官员并指，至少40户居民已经撤离，建筑物内的煤气供应也已经切断。

事发大楼位于纽约布朗克斯区（Bronx），据英国广播公司报道，纽约消防部门最初表示，接报指现场发生爆炸，派员救援，但报道称，目前尚不清楚是否曾发生爆炸。
