美国加州奥克兰博物馆（Oakland Museum of California）10月15日遭窃，包括金属饰品、工艺品等在内逾1000多件藏品被盗，馆长Lori Fogarty周四（30日）表示，由于藏品可能流入跳蚤市场、古董店或当铺销赃，因此公开案件，呼吁民众提供线索。

据报道，窃案发生在15日凌晨，窃贼从博物馆的一个馆外储存设施盗走逾1000件藏品，其中大部分是20世纪的历史纪念品，例如运动赛事奖盃、竞选徽章等，此外还有原住民编织篮和多件艺术品。

Fogarty称，窃贼似乎并没有明确目标，只是偷走了最容易找到的物品。

OPD and the FBI, is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Oakland Museum of California’s off-site storage facility. The suspect(s) broke into the facility and stole more than 1,000 items from the Museum’s collection.

曾任洛杉矶警察局商业犯罪部门负责人的退休警长John Romero认为，窃案已经过去两周，这些物品可能已经在网络转售平台销赃。

警方称联邦调查局专门应对艺术犯罪（包括盗窃、伪造或古物以及文化财产贩运）的部门已经介入调查。
