Wishes vs reality. It all depends on how you invested. Housing investments may be under pressure if big mortgages are waiting to be paid. Anyway, those people are expecting renting incomes to cover their mortgages. They pray no big drop of house prices and they believe house prices will grow forever. As long as they can survive from dropping prices, they win. The bottom line is the total assets cannot be negative. Investments are gambling, no matter big or small.
