    請讀者原諒,
    為什麼我要貼這段歌曲?

    加布裡埃爾•福雷(Gabriel Fauré，1845年5月12日－1924年11月4日）的生平及他為何作這些曲子的背景,我不大了解.

    他的這些歌曲Requiem Op. 48
    譯成中文就是安魂曲 作品48號.

    主帖裡的Sanctus 是贊美曲,是第四段.
    我是五六年前從網上聽到的.

    歌詞大意是

    SANCTUS
    Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus,
    Dominus Deus Sabaoth.
    Pleni sunt coeli et terra
    gloria tua.
    Hosanna in excelsis.



    英文含意則是
    Holy, holy, holy,
    Lord God of hosts.
    The heavens and earth are filled
    with thy glory.
    Hosanna in the highest.

    福雷先生寫這段音樂是不是和

    巴黎公社(1871年)有關系?
    我沒研究過,但是巴黎公社參加者的上萬人的被處決則是事實.

    從工業革命起,人類算是進入了文明時代了,
    但是內戰及外戰,被殺的人是多少?

    難於統計了吧,至於非正常死亡的人的數字
    則更難統計.

    I believe this is a Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recording with the London Symphony Chorus, Aled Jones, John Birch and Richard Hickox. It is one of my favourite versions and is still available for purchase, if not on CD then certainly by download at the Itunes Store
