As far as I know, Apple sometimes donates Mac to different schools. At least that's what happened to the elementary school where my son went.
This is Apple's strategy ----- make those kids get used to Mac when they were young.
Since my son loves to use Mac, I have to buy a iMac for him to use at home. In my case, Apple's strategy worked.
