   American Sierra Gold Corp (AMNP) just landed a 75% stake in California's underdeveloped Knownothing Mining Districts, estimated to contain 1.16 million ounces of gold. The prospectors of the '49 gold rush knew there were huge gold deposits in the historic Knownothing Mining district of northern California. But even the toughest of them were eventually beaten by the rugged, inaccessible, still-untamed mountains that, to this day, stand sentry over one of North America's richest undeveloped gold deposits. According to records kept by the California Division of Mines and Geology dating back to the 1870's, ore values in the Knownothing Mining District run as high as twenty ounces of gold per ton. And in case you don't know, that puts it near the top of the get-rich scale! In 1996, an independent study published by Cooksley Geophysics reported that the Knownothing Mining District contained.
