不過一號高速北溫Mountain Hwy以西已成為災難現場。

上午8點左右，DriveBC提醒司機由於幾輛汽車失控，預計上下坡方向都會出現延誤。

西行的上坡方向尤為嚴重。在坡下方，兩輛車因多個問題被困。導致坡下就已經出現嚴重擁堵。

上午9點多，DriveBC表示，多輛汽車脫離車道，一輛未系鎖鏈的大型商用車無法動彈，西行線路在 Mountain Hwy 和 Lynn Valley Rd 之間的坡道上持續延誤。

DriveBC稱，工作人員正在現場協助司機，並注意到許多司機沒有配備適當的裝備。
