The key to make yourself happy is to lower your expectations for happiness. The higher the expectations for happiness, the higher the stress for not reaching your goals. That makes you feel disappointed and stressful everyday. Do whatever you need to do everyday and fill up all gaps with chores. Time goes very fast and you do not ever have time to worry about whether you are happy or not. That means that you have to make your daily lives full of necessary small activities. It is never only the big event that makes lives meaningful then you can sit on couch and fall into the memories.
